Suggest Remedy For Vaginal Spotting After Child Birth While On Nexplanon
Hello I got the nexplenon the day after I gave birth I was bleeding about a month and a half ago it stopped now I started spotting for over a week my implant feels really bent but not broken what are my chances of being pregnant and what risks is it for the baby if I were to be pregnant?

Hi, Thanks for the query.I understand your concern. Actually, Nexplanon implantation is usually after 4 weeks postpartum, to allow all uterine bleeding flow out after delivery usually there is bleeding + white discharge for 21 days. Nexplanon is known to have cahged bleeding patterns.. spotting/ scanty bleeding/ profuse bleeding/ absent periods.. You have bent Nexplanon rod.. which might cause increased release of hormones & incraesed side effects like spotting. Though there is no chance of pregnancy in present situation, you should get the rod checked/ replaced as per advise of your doctor. Pregnancy with nexplanon is to be terminated for fear of congenital malformations in the baby. Thanks
