Suggest Remedy For Vertigo With Tinnitus Post Spinal Surgery
My room was spinning like a top last night. And I spit up.Now I still have nausea everything I move my Head. I am in a rehab center after having spinal surgery. They called the Doctor three times and she does not answer. The nurse tells me there is nothing they can do for vertigo. Is that true. There is a full ringing in my ears besides the other symptoms.
It is true that the NURSE cannot do anything without the doctor's order and authorization.
What you require is an examination to see if your symptoms could be due to either a circulatory problem in the brain (most often in the posterior circulation) which is where the centres for equilibrium and vertigo are located.
Or, if this is not based upon a brain type of issue it could be an inner ear problem such as LABRYNTHITIS which is usually viral and will run its course in 7-10 days.
Finally, medications you may be taken following your hospitalization could also be the cause of your symptoms but again, the nurse can't really make changes or decisions on these things.
The doctor needs to give the order to change something.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr Dariush Saghafi, Neurologist
