Understanding your concern. As per your query your kid has symptoms of high fever, cough and cold which seems to be due to viral infection. It could be co-infection of bacteria and virus. It could be due to weather change and poor immunity due to preexisting condition. I would suggest you to visit Pediatrician once and get it examined. You should go for blood sand sputum test to rule out any systemic pathology. Till then give child steam inhalation. You should give DayQuil and advil cold to your child. Use mist humidifiers in room. Your child's symptoms will resolve in one week. If symptoms keeps on persisting start proper medication. Give child plenty of fluids to rehydrate. Take proper course of antibiotics as well. Avoid giving any cold beverage to child.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
