Doctor my age is 33 yrs with weight of 76 kgs and I am a patient of vitiligo vulgaris from last three years. I underwent allopathic treatment for initial two months which comprises of Levamisole HCL/melanocyl tablets/application of sone cream. After that I discontinued
Use of Dicaris and Melanocyl tablets and continued with application of sone cream for around six months more, but since then from last two years I am not using any medication.
For the beginning two years the progression of the disease was slow which accelerated from the last 8 months. Doctor I would like to know was the progression of the disease slow as I was consuming Dicaris if yes then can I start eating it again in order to capture the disease and for how long can I eat this medicine without any side effect or do you suggest any other medication. Doctor please help me as this disease has taken over me mentally tremendously
I read history you gave. You are having vitiligo for long time. And it is active at present,as it is increasing. I can understand your concern for vitiligo. Please relax mentally. Vitiligo is just discoloration of the skin. It is a benign condition and not harming any more. It is an autoimmune skin disease causing psychological and social impact. But you are learned fellow, why do you remain tense? Please have positive approach.
Please restart all medicines you were taking after consulting your dermatologist. Replace sone cream by tacrolimus oint 0.1% oint. Apply thrice a day on patches. And continue for long time without break. Have exposure to sun for few minutes daily.
I hope you might get good result.
Thanks.
