Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am unable to support my weight on the ball of my left foot...I have no pain...causing a limp and my right leg seems to be doing all the work...has occurred over the last 6 months...left calf muscle has weakened...Am consulting my Internist and neurosurgeon...have neck and back MRIs scheduled...What could be causing this? Thank you.
Do you have pain at the ball of your great toe or passion over your entire leg, calf raising from your lower back ?
It is possible that you could be having arthritis of the toe joint is you have localised pain overt the joint of great toe. Causes of such pain could be Gout, Rheumatoid arthritis etc.
Avoid eating diet rich in meat, meat gravies, alcohol etc. Avoid smoking. Keep well hydrated. Eat plenty of fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables.
Consult your Doctor regarding other possible reasons for joint pain and get investigated and treated accordingly.
Thanking you.
Regards,
Dr. Aashish Raghu
