losing weight the healthy way is important and more long lasting but you have to understand that it's a commitment for at least 6 months for effective results, and to stay in shape it should be more of a life style modification... add vegetables and fresh fruits to your diet and try to eliminate cakes and juices, limit your carbohydrate intake and replace it with protein and veggies. keep a small plate so that you keep your serving small, don't snack too much. keep a celebration day every week but make sure you don't over do it. also add a 30 minute workout to your routine, you can increase it upto an hour, but the key is persistence.... remember weight loss is a long process and to lose and to keep it off you have to be patient and persistent. to stay motivated join a group of friends who might be trying. all the best
