Suggest Remedy For Whole Body Itching

I have itchy skin with no rash
My Dr put me on prednisone which helped but now
Symptoms are returning

Several of the questions in the questions I just answered
Pointed to a thyroid problem which my Dr just tested
It is low but apparently not enough to treat
I have had this for 4 months

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it severe itching over the body can be due to allergic reaction to any food or medication, contact dermatitis, scabies etc..
I would suggest you to consult an Allergist and get evaluated and he can advise you allergic tests like Patch test, RAST test food challenge test to rule out the exact cause of itching and treat you accordingly..
In case if it is due to allergic reaction then taking anti allergics like Allegra or Benadryl along with steroids can help..
Steroid shots can also be helpful..
Preventing exposure to allergen can help in causing recurring symptoms..
In case if it is due to scabies then anti-mite medication like Premethrin, Ivermectin can be advised..
