Suggest Remedy For Yellow Discoloration On Roof Of Mouth With Drainage And Sore Throat

Last week the toof of my mouth was tender. I now have drainage, sore throat but the roof of my mouth is yellow. Long history of sinus issues but never had roof of mouth yellow. Also have had "water in ear" sounds in both ears & some ear pain. Rhat has now gone away & started prior to tenderness of roof of mouth. Also feel achy & low grade temp (99.2 - 99.6) for 2 days.

Understanding your concern.

Thanks for your query . Yellow discoloration in oral cavity or at roof of mouth as you mention in query can occur due to various reasons . But the most common reasons are eating excess citrus fruits , acidic food ,spicy food , doing mouth rinses of chlorhexidine mouthwash or some medical condition like jaundice or addison's disease .

I would suggest you to consult oral pathologist for proper diagnosis . Doctor may refer you to general physician or ENT specialist (ear,nose ,throat) Go for liver function tests . For now do warm saline rinses several times a day and maintain proper oral hygiene .
