Suggest Remedy For Yellow, Smelly Discharge Under Foot While Having Diabetes
I am a 39 year male having a height of 5.3 feet and weigh 78 kg. I haven been diagnosed with Type 2 diabetes last year. From past 1 year I have also noticed a yellow colour, foul smelling; discharge from under my foot. This area is close to front side of my foot close to the toes (on both legs ) The sick from this area looks dry, cracking but I do not suffer any numbness.
I have also notice a bad, stale smell when I sneeze. Could all this be related to Diabetics? Please advise
Hi, I had gone through your query and understood your concerns.
Sir, It is an infection which is not getting healed because of high sugar levels. As it already started smelling, you need to consult treating doctor immediately and get an antibiotic course and make sure that sugar levels are strictly under control. Or, it may end up in gangrene and may get the need to amputate that area.
Hope this guides you. For any other query you can write to us. We will be happy to answer you. Wish you good health. Thank you. Dr Phanindra Dulipala. Diabetologist.
