Suggest Remedy To Bring Down Fever Lasting For Long Time

I GOT FEVER from 25dayys. initially doctor diagnosed as typhoid and given tablet of augmentin1000 daily twoafter 18days over fever has come to the control and it was 102 degree.after conducting some test doctor has introduced one more tablet ZANOCIN OD.for one time addition to the above,After taken ZANOCIN OD. the temperature has come down to 100 degree and some it is normal.Iconsulted other doctor regarding the fever after conducting the test required the doc has adviced to take DOXY-1 L-DR Fote.now the fever is some time normal and some time it is go upto 100 degree.please give correct prescription.

Something is wrong in diagnosis as you took amoxycillin+clauvanic ( augmentin ) for 18 days . Zanocin od i.e. ooloxacin also ,now taken doxycyclin . As doxycyclin in a bacteriostatic ,while other drugs are bacteriocidal .
All these drugs are most potent and effective , in spite of this fever in not under control and this is a cause of concern.
When such type of patient visit I advise them get in blood for C B C, E S R( any chronic infection ) X RAY chest (tuberculosis as the history of fever is of long duration) , Widal test (typhoid fever), serum bilirubin, S G OT , SG P T ( LIVER FUNCTION TEST).
So please get in tests for tuberculosis, jaundice and typhoid fever as these three ( reasons ) are responsible for long duration of fever.
Consult one more physician and get his opinion.
