Hi, Medication for seizures has to be individualized for all patients. It is best decided after a thorough examination and history by a neurologist. Some medications may be suitable but others may cause reactions or won't work that well for the patients, in that situation they need to be changed based on the judgement of the doctor. However please do not change his medications without first discussing with his neurologist. Also seeking a neurosurgeon's opinion my be beneficial. A MRI of the brain too might help if there is no apparent cause for it.
