Suggest Remedy To Reduce Constipation In An Infant Due To Intake Of Formula Milk

Hi, my name is ilda and I have a one year old that doesn t like while milk so I m giving her hido milk. The problem is that it is causing her to be constipated and I don t know if it will help my baby for me to reduce the scoops of hido I give to her on her bottle? What can I do to help her with this problem? Oh and her pediatrician said it was fine to give her hido since I have been trying to mix her milk with formula but she still wasn t taking it.

Hi,

Constipation in infants can be a common problem, especially when introducing new types of milk or formula. Here are some remedies you can try to help reduce constipation in your one-year-old:
* Increase water intake: Make sure your baby is getting enough water throughout the day. You can offer small amounts of water between feedings or offer watered-down fruit juice to help soften the stools.
* Offer high-fiber foods: Introduce high-fiber foods such as prunes, pears, peaches, plums, and apricots into your baby's diet. These foods can help soften the stools and make them easier to pass.
* Reduce hido milk intake: If you suspect that the Hido milk is causing your baby's constipation, you can try reducing the scoops of Hido milk and adding more water to the mixture. You can also try offering other types of milk or formula that are less likely to cause constipation.
* Massage the baby's tummy: Gently massage your baby's tummy in a circular motion. This can help stimulate bowel movements and relieve constipation.
* Try a glycerin suppository: If your baby is having trouble passing stool, you can try using a glycerin suppository. These are available over the counter and can help stimulate bowel movements.

If your baby's constipation persists or becomes severe, it is important to consult with your pediatrician to rule out any underlying medical conditions.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
