Is it possible for a young girl to decrease in height by 2-3 inches? If so, how? I only want healthy ways that take between 6-8 weeks please. (By the way, I am 14 and I have stopped growing but I am really tall and I hate it. I am taller than all the boys)
Thanks for putting your query up at HealthCareMagic. I am sorry that height cannot be decreased. Let me tell you something that your height is nothing to be ashamed of. Vey few girls have the opportunity to be as tall as or even taller than boys. I understand that it creates an odd situation relating mixing with your pees but think positive. That is not a demerit. You would have to choose your profession such that this counts as an advantage.
Genetics plays an important role in determining the final height of an individual. The gain in height occurs with peak growth between 14 or 15 years of age continues till a certain age but stops thereafter. You may get an extra inch or two depending on how long you've been in puberty. The expected final height for boys= [(mother's height + 5 inches) + father's height] divided by two. So naturally you can work out the probable final height you are likely to attain. The fastest point is around 11 to 12 for girls.
I hope that answers your query. Feel free to ask back if you have any further queries.
