Sorry to hear about your tailbone pain. Tail bone pain, also known as coccydynia, can be quite debilitating. I would suggest obtaining x-rays of the sacrum and coccyx and then seeing a interventional pain physician. Many times a procedure known as a ganglion impar block can help reduce the pain from coccydynia. If the block helps but is of short duration you may be a candidate for ganglion impar radiofrequency thermocoagulation ( burning the nerves of the ganglion impar). these procedures are safe, take a short time, and are all outpatient based. Good luck to you and i hope this answer helps.
