Hi, my previous doctor and my doctor today prescribed different shot for my rabies case. My 1st doctor said I should have one shot of tetanus and rabies immune globulin then he scheduled me to have shot again of rabies immune globulin for 3rd, 7th, 14th and 28th day. My 2nd doctor said it should be one shot of tetanus, rabies immune globulin and verorab then scheduled for verorab shots on 3rd, 7th, 14th and 28th day. Please advise if which one will I follow. Many thanks.
Hi, if were your treating doctor, then i would suggest 1) To have tetanus toxoid, rabies immunoglobulin, anti rabies vaccine (verorab) on the day of bite. 2) Then to continue anti rabies vaccine on day 3rd 7th 14th and on 28th day. Hope I have answered your question. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help.
