General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi & Welcome.
A high SGPT is suggestive of liver or gallbladder disease. So, you need to have an abdominal ultrasound scan to find out any such case responsible for the high enzyme.

You need to have certain lifestyle changes to reduce the levels of both uric acid and SGPT like:

1. Avoid taking alcohol or alcohol containing beverages.
2. Avoid smoking
3. Avoid taking red meat, sea foods like shrimps, fatty meals, fast and junk foods, beans and pulses.
4. Increase the intake of fruits, vegetables, whole grains.
5. Increase the fluid intake (no alcohol or sodas please).
6. Eat home cooked food.

Repeat the liver function tests after 4-6 weeks.

Hope the advice given above would be useful.

Best wishes.
