hello i live in australia. i support philipino lady and her child for about 4 years since 2011.. she was from isaland called palawan... advised me she was diagnosed with malaria as child from local clinic there. since i have know her she continually complains of abdominal pains.. lung problems, respiratory issues.. coughing flu.. fevers chills.. intermittent bouts lasting days.. and what is of concern to me most recently is coughing up blood from nose and mouth, she has short attention spans.. memory problems, erratic mood behaviours also.. i wish to help her find appropriate pathway for diagnosis in manilla and treatment cure.. im not entirely sure if its malaria or hepatitis. because when i read about both conditions online i noticed symptoms very similar. i also read about cerebral malaria that also seemed to fit the profile well.. 1. what is best testing methods to determine if her conditions is attributed to malaria and or hepatitis.. 2. can that testing method also hone in on sub issues such as cerebral malaria? thank u so much

Suggest Testing Methods For Malaria And Hepatitis
Hi thanks for contacting HCM.... Your question is regarding diagnostic methods of malaria and hepatitis.... 1.Malaria methods for diagnosis.... -peripheral smear examination from whole blood -rapid immunochromatography card method -ELISA test from blood 2..for hepatitis diagnostic methods..... -clinical history -liver enzyme estimation sgpt and sgot -USG abdomen (supportive ) Here according to my opinion blood can be by bronchitis like respi causes. So rule it out by history and examination. Consult physician with keeping my advise in mind ..... Take care. Dr.Parth
