#Hi,I had a low risk exposure 6 weeks ago (I had protected sex but having the fact that we were on drugs it might have came off a little, but at the same time no ejaculation occured). Even though I am worried so I had a blood test examined with ELISA 2 weeks post and after 6 weeks I just had a INSTI anti HIV1/HIV2 rapid test taken, both came back negativ.I wonder if these results are accurate or I still need to go to confirm later? Thank you
Hello dear I understand your concern Rapid test will detect the pregnancy after 14 days after exposure. SO just be relax, you have not infection. But if you are bothersome then WHO recommends to test should be repeated at 90 days of exposure. The 4th generation test Combo test gives almost 95 to 99 % accuracy after 90 days. So i would recommended to go for tests after 90 days for safe practice. Use safe sex practice like condoms to prevent STDs Hope this may help you
