Welcome to HCM
In a known patient of Autism sudden deterioration of symptoms might be suggestive of some organic lesion ..so do an MRI to rule out any organicity. For assesing dementia MMSE(mini mental status examination) is suffie. For severe mood swings tab Risperidone 1mg?day might be started. First consult with a psychiatrist and ask him for detailed assesment.
