Suggest Tests To Detect Internal Bleeding Other Than Colonoscopy
My 85 y/o mother refused a colonoscopy and endoscopy due to risk out weighing gain. Docs were trying to pin point source of internal bleeding based on hemoglobin count going from 9.5- 7.2. Can internal bleeding be treated without pinpointing the source? If so how? She also has a very painful rib pain could that be near the source of bleeding in GI Tract?
Hi, dear. I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. Low hemoglobin is suggestive of some bleeding. You should go for per rectal examination. Ultrasound abdomen can help you to find the source of internal gi bleeding. You should search for the cause. Then you should take treatment accordingly. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health. Don't forget to click thank you.
