Suggest The Course Of Treatment Of Duphaston To Normalize Menstruation

Hello Doc. I am a patient with 10 months of no menstruation. I menstruated twice in my entire lifetime. I am 15 now. The thing is, I dont want to menstruate. But my mom begged some unexperienced doc to give me any medicine. I took Duphaston twice. How can I reduce the effect of this medicine? I want to enjoy my life. I don t want to menstruate. My mom beats me if i refuse to take the medicine. How many more 10mg Duphaston will make me menstruate? I DO NOT WANT IT!

Hello,

I don't think you can take Duphaston for so long. You should have menstruation every month as normal and you should not be afraid. If you use contraception use combination pills.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
