Suggest The Dosage Of Syndopa For A 75-year-old Female

This is an urgent question to the neurologists : My 75 years old mother suffers from Parkinsons Disease since 2008. Her Syndopa Plus 100 + 25mg dose has recently been increased (following hospitalisation) from 7.5 tabs to 10 tabs per day (each dose is 2 tabs five times a day). In addition she also takes Syndopa CR 125mg one tab 2 times a day (1 morning & 1 at night). Ever since she keeps swinging her legs keep in the air and her breathing/speech is heavy. Could you please tell me if the recommended dose is too much for her.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Asthma with lot of watery phlegm indicates inflammation of airways can be irritation of airway by a long-standing allergy.

Use of preventing inhalers would help. Drink lot of warm water & be well hydrated. Consult asthma specialist to prescribe suitable spray for you.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
