General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You should continue giving Azithromycin as prescribed by her pediatrician. If at the end of the treatment, there is no improvement, then, can start amoxicillin with clavulanate.

It's very important to keep good oral hygiene. Gargle with warm water and salt is highly recommended together with applying oral antiseptics.

The use of antibiotics is associated with alterations in GI flora. So, can give probiotics to prevent this alteration onset.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
