Suggest The Ideal Dosage For Duloxetine

My Dr prescribed me Duloxetine for treatment of a burning irritation feeling I get in my hip after having surgical procedure in my neck using a piece of bone taken from my hip. I m concerned about the use of this being mainly for depression & anxiety. If I take this & my dosage is increased as I was told & my hip has more time to heal & nerve pain decreases will I be able to stop taking med without weaning off of it

Duloxetine like many other antidepressants and also anti seizure medications have different uses.

If you conduct a search on chronic pain or neuropathic (nerve related) pain, you would see that many antidepressants/anxiety and anti seizures meds are used to treat these types of pain in persons who do not have anxiety/depression or seizures.

It is thought that they may possibly affect the transmission of the nerve pain impulses.

You should consider using the prescribed medication to see if it helps you.
