Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have a TSH level of 0.04 and a t4 free level of 1.7 ....I have been on the same dose of thyroid medicine for 18 years (112mcg of levothroixin)for hypothyroid now my doctor wants to lower my dose to 100mcg of snythroid because of my TSH levels. I had a hysterectomy about 5 months ago and wonder if my levels may be off because of that? Thanks Michelle
Hi Thanks for posting on HCM There may exist no standard dosage for synthroid. When on this drug, regular controls and dose adjustments are recommended depending on response to treatment.I will suggest you take the drug as prescribed by your Doctor.Hysterectomy may not have any influence on your thyroid hormones. Hope this will help Best regards
