Hello
Initially your doctor prescribed AKT-4 and you took it for 2 months .
Now your doctor advise A K T-2 ( i.e. rifampicin450 mg + isoniazide 300 mg ) for another period of one year.
Rifampicin is advise to take on empty stomach so that it can properly digested in stomach and enter into blood because food enter into its action.
That is the reason that this is advise on empty stomach .
2nd point on fix time , biological half life of rifampicin and isoniazide is 12 hours means full action for 24 hours . If drug next time is not taken within 24 hours mycobacterium may develop resistance . The resistance is a big problem in tubercular patient .
Hope this information will help you and you will take this drug on fixed and stipulated time .
Good luck.
