Hi There are types of female oral contraceptive pill( taken once per day) 1.The combined oral contraceptive pill contains estrogen and progestin (a pill is consumed daily for three weeks at the same time of the day from the 5th day of menstrual cycle, followed by a week of no pills) 2.The progestin-only pill or mini pill taken once daily.
non steroidal contraceptive pills - ormiloxifene available in india.
steroidal ocps have many side effects especially for patients having cardiovascular diseases. thus i suggest you consult a gynaecologist and take the required OCP.
Intrauterine contraceptive devices - third generation hormone releasing ones are good. however chances of intrauterine infections are there.
therefore consult your doctor once before opting for any of the above. Hope this helps.
