I am currently taking 20 mg of fluoxentine and have been for 6 yrs. My job has been very stressful for the last 6 months and I do not see an end in site. I have two children 7 and 2 1/2. Married. Feel overwhelmed and stressed all the time. I am very irratible and quick to anger. Have I become immune to my meds? Do I need to take somethin for the anxiety induced stress in my life?
Hello, welcome to HCM I understand your concerns To overcome and reduce stress you have to start practicing some good life style like 1.Walk in the fresh air for atleast half an hour daily morning or evening. 2. Practice some simple breathing exercises 3. The best is- Meditation reguarly when ever you get time 4. some simple yogic exercises atieast thrice a week 5. Music therapy- listening to soothing music of your interest 6. if you cannot do any of these try playing with your children daily for 1 hour like a child this refreshes and relieves stress.
Hope these tips will surely help you in relaxing your mind and body which inturn will reduce your stress. Its better to take a consent from your doctor regarding long term use of the medication that you are taking. Take care Thank you
