Hello doc I am hetal 22 year old Having height 5 and weight 48 kgs I am low on haemoglobin Kindly help me with tips for nutrition and balanced diet I should follow I am also working on height increase by doing stretching exercises. I am vegetarian Kindly help Thanks
To increase hemoglobin to normal levels you need to consume certain vegetable more which are rich source of iron. Iron is required in the synthesis of hemoglobin.
a. Vegetable rich in iron include: >Spinach >Sweet potatoes >Peas >Broccoli
b. Fruits rich in iron include: >Strawberries >Watermelon >Raisins >Dates >Prunes
As the above mentioned vegetables include "non-heme" iron which is absorbed less efficiently than "heme" iron(present in meat products) SO foods rich in vitamin C should also be taken along with it which increases the absorption of non heme iron. Such food includes: >tomatoes & >citrus fruits
If you take above mentioned diet then it will gradually increase your hemoglobin near normal range.
