Suggest Treatment After Being Scratched By A Stray Cat
Hi DR, I got a stray cat scrtch today morning. (A very little scrtch) I washed the area with soap and running water and applied Supirocin Ointment also. Is there any thing else I need to do ? Should I consult a doctor and try any other antibiotic or injection since I am concerned .. Thanks in advance

Hi,
Cats are not a common carrier to human rabies. Also, you just have a scratch with least chance of cat saliva entering your body. So there is less chance of rabies. Still, it is better to observe the cat for any signs of rabies. Start inculcation with such signs. You have together injection TT & take care of the wound.
