Suggest Treatment After Getting Bitten By Dog

Hello I was bitten by a dog on my arm 5 days ago. No punctures, but rather a gash on top of my arm and scratches from it s teeth agains my skin. I went to a dr and he gave me a tetinus shot along with antibiotics and told me to keep it dry and clean with peroxide a couple of times per day. I had numbness from 5 minutes after and still do 5 days later. There is no suspicious redness or piss from the wound to point to infection and I was informed the numbness would go away in a few days. The bite didn t go as deep as muscular but the area appears to be bruising just now as my skin is slightly darker in that area which it was not until today. Do you think nerve damage is possible? No problems contractring muscles but I have zero sensation around the gash and a couple of deep scratches? Sorry for the long post.
