Suggest Treatment Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia

My father is 85 and he has Chronic Lymphocytic Lieukaemia. Finally he has decided to start chemo – but that isn t why I am on this website; he visited me today, and he asked me why he keeps losing his voice. I said I didn t know, but that it might be to do with his condition. He s also losing a lot of weight, but my primary question is: in a lieukaemia patient, what is the cause of this intermittant loss of voice? My dad is not interested in technical explanations, but I am. Obviously I would take any advice from a doctor on the internet – who does not have access to medical records – with a careful pinch of salt, and I am sure my father will get round to asking his own specialist, but he has other priorities at present, looking after my ailing mother. Any advice will be taken in good faith.
