General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

There is no medical treatment for gallstones if it is symptomatic - which is the case here. Treatment of choice for gall stones is cholecystectomy - i.e removal of gall bladder.

If done at the good centre and by an experienced surgeon, it is absolutely safe. So don't think about other treatment options - because there aren't any at present.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Prabhash Verma, General & Family Physician
