Suggest Treatment For 1st Stage Of Dementia

Yes, my mother is 81 yrs young and I have noticed that she may be in the 1st stages of dementia, since I am not a dr I am aware of her behavior patterns and I have very lovingly suggested that we get an expert opinion so that she does not get worse, unfortunately, she is fighting me every time I bring it up. How do I get her to be evaluated? She has not been seen by a dr since 2008. Help!!

thank you for posting your query in healthcaremagic.com....

well it is quite normal to have some dementia features like forgetfulness, lack of concentration sometimes, impairment in thinking or communication etc at her age...but without seeing a doctor, it is not possible to diagnose your case or start medications also...

i would definitely advice you to visit a NEUROLOGIST and get her examination and investigations done...it will be helpful to diagnose her case properly and also arrest her gradual degradation.....

hope this was helpful...
you can contact me for any further queries....

regards
