I have a 15 year old daughter who has been on ADD medication since 3rd grade, until last year she had been on the same medication, Concerta. She was switched to Vyvanse last year because the Concerta didn't seem to be working as well as in the past. But, this year I have noticed that it seems like her ADD is becoming more severe. She has a 504 education plan in place, but I don't know what else to do. I am trying to find some other ideas about any treatments that would help her without having to continue to increase her medication.
Hi, thanks for asking. I can understand your concerns. In my opinion along with the medications you should also try the cognitive behavioural therapy for her. Also the organisational skill training will also be of benefit to her. But please do continue the medications. I hope I have helped you Thank you
