Hi. I was diagnosed today with ADD, but my doctor gave me a prescription for an antidepressant to help deal with it. I have been on antidepressants before and absolutely abhor them and would much prefer a medication that targets my ADD specifically, not something that could altogether alter my personality. I made it very clear, but she disregarded anything I said. Is it possible to get that help without waiting over a month to see a new doctor? I do have a history of anxiety due to a unilateral oophorectomy, but I have learned to manage that on my own and it has decreased immensely with a good daily routine and exercise.
