Welcome to HCM
This is Dr Amit. Let me help you in this case.
Behcet's disease (BD) is a rare disorder that causes inflammation in blood vessels throughout your body.
The signs and symptoms of Behcet's disease are mouth sores,
eye inflammation, skin rashes and lesions, and genital sores.
Chronic benign
neutropenia commonly presents with symptoms that mimic BD. Here, it is important to decide whether neutropenia is a complication of BD or if the symptoms should be attributed to neutropenia
No cure exists for Behcet's disease. If your signs and symptoms of Behcet's disease are mild, your doctor may offer medications to control temporary flares in pain and inflammation.
For severe condition high dose corticosteroid therapy is often used.
Anti-TNF therapy such as
infliximab has shown promise in treating the
uveitis associated with the disease. Another Anti-TNF agent,
etanercept, may be useful in people with mainly skin and mucosal symptoms.
Immunosuppressants can be used for reducing inflammation, and controlling the immune system.
