Hi & Welcome to HCM.
I can understand your concern.
Blastocystis hominis is a microscopic organism that may be found in the stools of healthy people who aren't having any digestive symptoms. It is also found in the stools of people who have
diarrhea,
abdominal pain or other gastrointestinal problems.
This infection usually clears up on its own. There are no proven treatments for these infections. But, if your symptoms don't get better, you need to take certain antibiotics like
Metronidazole, Paromomycin, or Nitazoxanide as prescribed by your doctor.
Regarding the dietary restrictions:
Avoid food from street vendors.
Avoid unpasteurized milk & dairy products, including ice cream.
Avoid raw or under cooked meat, fish & shellfish.
Eat foods that are well-cooked & served hot.
Stick to fruits and vegetables that you can peel yourself, such as bananas, oranges and avocados. Stay away from salads and unpeelable fruits, such as grapes and berries.
Avoid frozen pops & flavored ice.
To prevent the spread of the infection to others:
Wash hands with soap & water frequently, especially after using the toilet and before handling food.
Wash hands well after changing a diaper.
Hope the suggestions given above would be useful.
