Suggest Treatment For C.diff Infection, Short Term Memory Loss And Weight Loss
I had Clostricium difficile from antibiotics lost from 103 to 82 lbs in 4 weeks. I find that I am having a problem with my short term memory. I ask people about something and they say we talked about that yesterday don t you remember ? It s really embarrassing because I don t remember a conversation with them about that subject at all. I am 65 years old and run a construction company and this is most unusual for me.
The short term memory loss with weight loss do indicate systemic effects from supportive system involvement. The Clostridium difficile is following certain antibiotic consumption for various types of body infections. The diagnosis is usually clinical, but certain cases do require toxin assay as well as colonoscopy to find out the filmy adhesions in colon lumen with green membranes.
The oral Vancomycin is best therapy proven for the cure of C. diffi; followed by oral Metronidazole in some cases. Intravenous forms are not useful as the issue is of luminal counterpart.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
