Suggest Treatment For Central Retinal Vein Occlusion
Im 32 years woman with crvo,I'm a doctor.I dont have any history of high blood pressure and no other disease, my doctor says it will be ok in 1-2 month because I can see well but it,s not sharp, I did all exam for thrombotic disease and mu question is:1 what's the reason or what else I can do?is it necessary to do brain ct scan?
I am sorry. CRVO with or without CME(cystoid macular edema) is a determining factor for visual prognosis. Even after resolution of CME there can be loss of contrast which causes aquity to be in normal range but sharpness of image to worsen.
Considering age and sex kindly rule out immunological diseases, like autoimmune and granulomatous disease.
But the cause my be undetectable, still regular follow up of affected eye for neovascularization and fellow eye as there is 2% chance of CRVO for every 2 yrs.And systemic evaluation regularly.
CT brain is of not much help in my opinion.
