Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have degeritive disk disease through out spine. What could be causing a rubberband type pain at bottom of right shoulder blade lifting left arm makes it pull worse on the right. Also neck knees an shoulders poping and grinding bad. Stiff muscles in top of back and neck recent lumbar ablation
The degenerative disc disease does not involve whole of the spine, but only parts of it. The symptoms of spasm and restricted range of movements including shoulder, back indicates more of musculo-skeletal disorder rather than degenerative issue.
I would suspect Ankylosing spondylosis or Polymyalgia rheumatica more likely against DDD. Kindly get me plates of your L-S spine or pelvis with hips X-ray for further correspondence in this instance.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
