My name in Omer i am 24 years old i am continuously suffering from pain in chest and more often in heart side , i have undergone several ECG s but all are normal and than i go for ECO test it was perfect , Dr.Advice me that your stomach is disturbed and you have GERD, i do smoking rarely and i don t drink . i am very upset because of sudden sharp pains in heart and shortening of breath.kindly advice
Symptoms of GERD can sometimes be very distressing like chest pain, water brash and dry cough.
I would advise you some lifestyle modifications like avoid spicy foods, have small but frequent meals, avoid smoking and alcohol, avoid stress as much as possible, do regular walk after meals, have a gap of at least 3 hours between the last meal and sleeping time, and raise the head end of the bed by 6 inches of possible.
If symptoms do not improve with these measures, I would suggest to take some antacids like omeprazole or ranitidine or sucralfate. However always consult your doctor before taking any medications.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
