Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My blood pressure is usually 90/58 or 90/68. If it goes higher than 90 s for me it usually means pain or infection. Today my blood pressure is 110/40. I just had back surgery and my incision had been drained 4 times. Now, I am having GI bleeding with puss and can t hold down food. I have issues with antibiotics killing my GI tract. I have had 3 surgeries in under a year. I am trying to get to a doctor for the GI bleeding and now development of a fever but it is nearly impossible to be seen without a month wait time.. Everyone tells me to call my GP. I have called and I have been given GI refers but I am not getting treatment. I am now dizzy and feeling weak. I won t last a month without food. The amount of bleeding and puss is increasing too.
Persistent vomiting with bleeding from stomach indicates possible alteration in portal venous pressure. The usual cause is portal hypertension with or without alcohol consumption. Primary guidelines are as below: - Pprescription of anti-emetic like Ondancetron tablet - Proton pump inhibitor such as Lanzoprazole - Antacid such as aluminium hydroxide with simethicone - Plenty of liquids at sessions including oral rehydration salt and lemon juice, coconut water
Specific therapy depends upon the diagnosis with clinical examination, ultrasound of the abdomen and pelvis.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
