Hi. My name is Justyna. I have been diagnosed with Hashimoto about 1.5 month ago. My TSH level was 0.022 ulU/ml first, then after I started take thyrozol changed to 0.044 ulU/ml and after next 4 weeks taking 5 mg of thyrozol changed to over 100 mUL (two first blood tests I have done in Poland, the last one in UK). Is it possible that after taking so small doze of 5 mg thyrozol after 4 weeks my TSH increased to 100 mUL. Is ulU/ml and mUL this same range? I have been told by my GP to take levothyroxine 50mg from tomorrow. I also tying for a baby. What I supposed to do?
Hello, I have gone carefully through your concern and understood your query. I would suggest to stop thyrozol and check the thyroid hormones after 4 weeks. A clear diagnosis should be made before deciding to start treatment. If it is Hashimoto thyroiditis (under active thyroid) you should start levothyroxine.
