Suggest Treatment For IBS, With No Relief With Prilosec And Pepto-Bismol

Been having a lot of problems with my stomach for the last 6 months or so. Last night about 11:30 I woke from stomach pain and had diarrhea about 4 different times in a couple hours then vomited. Have had stomach pain ever since. Took pepto and later a Prilosec and neither did anything for me. Dr has said I have ibs and to watch for trigger foods. Lactose definitely is a trigger but I had none yesterday and I ve missed work again because of this issue.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I think you should do a colonoscopy to see the bowel mucosal lesions. The treatment is different according to the outcome of it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka,
General & Family Physician
