Hi
Thanks for posting on HCM
The x ray results description is typical of Koch disease or pulmonary TB.It is a contagious bacterial infection that involves the lungs and is caused by the bacteria
Mycobacterium tuberculosis. You can get TB by breathing in air droplets from a cough or sneeze of an infected person.Little children, elderly and immunocompromised are at risk of this infection.
The lesion described on the x ray may no be found in only TB.A
lung infection like pneumonia may give you such though less likely.I will suggest you see a Pneumologist for evaluation and a sputum exam.
Drugs commonly used for TB treatment are however very tolerable in children and produce good results if taken as prescribed. These drugs include: Isoniazid, Rifampin,
Pyrazinamide, Ethambutol and occasionally used drugs like: Amikacin, Ethionamide,
Moxifloxacin, Para-aminosalicylic acid,
Streptomycin.
Treatment for this condition may go on for 6 month or more.Your Pneumologist will be in the best place to choose the best molecules for your Child's condition.
Hope this will help
Best regards
