Suggest Treatment For Lyme Disease And Joints Pain With Inflammation
I was recently told I have lymes disease , however 2 western blot test came back negative and the cells taken from my knee showed positive.. what is real? do I have lymes disease and what is the treatment for joint pain without inflammation? and I show no signs of arthritis at all
You are definitely positive since knee fluid has tested positive for Lyme disease. In general cases,a course of 10 to 14 day antibiotics are used for treatment. In case of arthritis involvement, 28 day of antibiotics may be required.Early treatment relieves symptoms very efficiently. Doxycycline, amoxicillin, or cefuroxime, which are first-line treatments in adults and children can be used.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
