Hi I am 62 and my doctor says I have moderate OA in my knees and has been giving me some inflammation pills pills for it and it is getting worse. Having a hard time standing and getting started to walk . She did give my a cortisone shot but that had no effect . Do I need to see someone else ?
HI Well come to HCM If this is confirmed case of single joint of arthritis of knee then this can be best managed with any NSAID drugs and the best option would be "Tab Diclofenac" 50 mg once in day, try to avoid the steroid as long as it is possible, it is important to avoid the flexion position of knee joint beyond 90 degree, (Bending the knee joint) hope this information helps, take care, have a nice day
