Suggest Treatment For Obsessive–compulsive Disorder
I have recently been diagnosed with OCD. The Dr. put me on Buspirone, Lexapro, . I had 5 mg. of Buspirone so I am to take two tablets in the morning and two tablets in the evening. Take Lexapro two in the morning and none in the evening . I have also been taking Clonazepam twice a day if needed but would like for me to taper off on this because of the damage to the brain. How does this all sound for my illness of OCD?
I went through your details. Obsessive Compulsive Disorder is a behavior disorder and not a mental disease. You do have a behavioral problem. Knowing the behavioral problem and understanding it is the key to recovery. You have that problem, so what? Thinking obsessively about the problem intensifies the feelings and emotions about the problem and you start fearing the problem. Fearing cannot cure the problem, understanding and proper treatment can. Exercise, engaging in creative activities, vocational therapy, prayer and meditation etc should help you to manage your problem.
