Suggest Treatment For PCOD And Irregular Menstruation

Doctor prescribed me to take cyclenorm-P &E for period to start. I am suffering from PSOD & irregular period. I have forgotten the doses. Doctor told me take 2 tablets in the morning & 2 in the evening. I want to know one one tablet from both or 2 tab of E in the morning & 2 tab of P in the evening. Kindly guide me.

Thanks for asking.
I understand your concern.
- Cyclonorm E & P are supplements of hormones estrogen & progesterone,
You have to take 1 pill of each type twice a day for 3 days. This will be followed by withdrawal bleeding within 8-10 day of stopping the pills.
- This will be the first step in treatment of PCOS.
- Your treating dioctor will start with treatment plan for you after this. It may be either of the following.
- adding tablet of Glyciphage to exercise & diet restriction regime.
- Cyclical hormonal courses for 3 months .. with the hope to automatically stimulation of normal menses cycles. with ovulation.
- Tablet clomiphine citrate % tablets in a month .. to stimulate ovulation,
- Laperoscopic surgery to burst excess mature ovums collected in ovary.. this decreases pressure in ovary & results in it's normal function.
Any of these would lead to normal periods.
